Premier League Football Comes To Abergavenny Next Season. Abergavenny Town Football Club will have it’s very own senior women’s team next season with the formation of Abergavenny Women Football Club and will be welcoming the likes of Cardiff City, Swansea City and current Champions Cardiff Metropolitan University to Pen y Pound stadium competing in The Welsh Premier Women’s League.

Congratulations to our sponsored team Abergavenny on their recent success of winning The FAW Trophy! The FAW Trophy is back in the town of Abergavenny after a twenty five year gap since it was lifted by the Thursdays, but although Town were always in control it turned out to be a very tense affair at the FAW’s Dragon Park complex.

The Trade Centre Wales training academy have launched our largest ever recruitment drive with almost 70 new positions needing to be filled in readiness for the opening of our new Cardiff North store and additional staffing to cope with the huge demand at our existing sites in Neath and Merthyr.

After a six year gap, Monmouthshire has a representative in the final of the FAW Trophy, and the Town got there in spectacular style. Facing higher rated opponents from Wrexham, Town shrugged off their under-dog mantle and produced a stunning result. Craig Norman set them on their way, carrying the ball from mid-field before sliding it past the Queens Park ‘keeper on 12 minutes.
