On Saturday, May 11th, 2024, the footballing world will converge in Swansea for a spectacle unlike any other as Wales and England lock horns in a charity football match of epic proportions. Organised by Joseph’s Smile (Wales) and The Bradley Lowery Foundation (England), this event promises not only a thrilling clash on the pitch but also a united effort to support childhood cancer awareness and provide much-needed medical treatment and equipment.

Joseph’s Smile and The Bradley Lowery Foundation are two families touched by childhood cancer. Katy Yeandle and Gemma Lowery have united to illuminate the legacies of their sons Joseph and Bradley who courageously battled neuroblastoma.

Supported by £6k donation from The Trade Centre Group, the Wales vs England charity football match is set to take place at the prestigious Swansea.com Stadium. With funds raised earmarked to ensure children supported by each charity are one step closer to accessing vital care and treatment, the significance of this event goes far beyond the football pitch.

Renowned football legends Chris Coleman and Sol Campbell will lead the charge as managers of the Wales and England teams, respectively. The lineup is nothing short of star-studded, featuring ex-professional footballers, sporting personalities, and celebrities who have generously donated their time to support this noble cause.

Among the confirmed players are household names such as Ashley Williams, Joe Cole, Dave Edwards, and Joe Ledley, who will bring their expertise and passion to the field. Joining them are sporting icons like Sir Mo Farah, Shane Williams, and Mike Tindall, adding an extra layer of excitement to the event.

But the star power doesn’t end there. Adebayo Akinfenwa, Leon Best, and Gareth Thomas are among the other notable names set to grace the pitch, alongside celebrities including Chris Hughes, Calum Best, and Tom Barber. With more players yet to be announced, anticipation is mounting for a showdown that promises to be unforgettable.

As the countdown to kickoff begins, excitement is reaching fever pitch among football enthusiasts and philanthropists alike. With the opportunity to witness a thrilling match while supporting a vital cause, the Wales vs England charity football match is more than just a game—it’s a symbol of hope, unity, and compassion.

Gemma Lowery CEO of The Bradley Lowery Foundation and Bradley’s Mum added “When we first set up the charity back in 2017, one of our main aims was to work with as many different charities with similar to objectives to BLF, so to be able to work with Joseph’s Smile to bring this huge game, it’s amazing.
