Here at The Trade Centre Wales we’ve raised more than £100,000 for NSPCC Cymru/Wales.

Singer and television personality Peter Andre was presented with the cheque on behalf of the children’s charity last month. Between our two sites in Neath and Merthyr Tydfil, we managed to raise a total of £105,280 by donating £50 for every car sold in October over the last two years.

It is the second year that we have raised more than £50,000 for the NSPCC Wales in one month. All the money raised will go towards the Baby Steps programme run at the NSPCC’s Swansea service centre. Baby Steps is a perinatal educational programme which supports parents in the run up to the birth of their baby and afterwards. The programme helps prepare people for becoming parents by building up their confidence through home visits and group sessions.

An NSPCC Cymru/Wales spokesman said: “We would like to say a massive thank you to Trade Centre Wales for this very kind donation. “We would also like to thank Peter Andre for taking time out of his busy schedule to accept the donation on our behalf.

“All of this money raised will help go towards supporting parents at our Swansea service centre. Every donation we receive helps us fight for safer childhoods and bring an end to child abuse”.

“We help children who have been abused to rebuild their lives, protect those at risk, and find the best ways of preventing abuse from ever happening.”
