Here at The Trade Centre Wales, we are proud to be enjoying what is set to be our most successful year yet and to celebrate this achievement, we are equally as excited to have donated an incredible £50,000 to the NSPCC.
Having sold 1000 cars last month, our October campaign saw us donate £50 to the NSPCC for every car we sold – making us able to donate what we hope will be valuable funds to the children’s charity.
What’s more, we had Peter Andre as the voice for our advertising campaign, featuring him on our radio campaigns; no doubt if you live locally you would have heard him. We were then given the opportunity to attend one of his last tour dates to present him with a cheque.
The NSPCC is a charity that is close to the heart of our chairman Mark Bailey here at The Trade Centre Wales. We have been continuously working hard over recent years to support and donate to this children’s charity, helping to raise over £100,000 last year alone!
As the number one used car supermarket in Wales, our staff are proud to have been actively involved in a number of charity events throughout the year, from joining in Sir Ian Botham’s charity walk to other personal and charitable achievements across the company. The NSPCC has always been The Trade Centre Wales’ chosen charity and continues to be so in 2014 with our pledge to raise a further £100,000 over the next two years.
NSPCC community fundraising manager Emma Brennan has commented on our charitable efforts and has said;
“The Trade Centre Wales has pledged to support the NSPCC All Wales Appeal over three years to help more than 200 families around Swansea receive vital support via the local services at our city centre home. Without the support from TCW we couldn’t reach the many families who desperately need our help and we are so very grateful that Mark, his family and his team at TCW are on board with us.
It’s great to see such a successful Welsh company really taking an interest in the work the NSPCC does to support some of the most vulnerable families in our community. We’ve already seen the team take on Beefy’s Big Welsh Walk and many more local activities and the fundraising event this month will no doubt be a big success thanks to their commitment. We wish them all the best.”
Having sold 1,000 cars last month, both Mark Bailey and all staff at our showrooms in Neath and Merthyr Tydfil are delighted to present the NSPCC with the money raised. And as always, we will be looking for more opportunities to fundraise in the future for the charity that offers so much support to children who have experienced abuse or neglect in both Wales and further afield.
