Trade Centre Wales Sponsors the Martyrs for 2011 / 2012

Merthyr town Football Club Kick off the season with a new lucrative shirt sponsor deal with Trade Centre Wales Part Exchange outlet,

Martyrs team Coach Les Barlow and Trade Centre Company Director Steve Richards are photographed here at the New Merthyr Site with the club’s new kit for new season, with the Trade Centre logo. The agreement was reached following an approach to the club by Trade Centre, following a phone in on Real Radio, with Garry Shephard, Merthyr stalwart Anthony Hughes and former Cardiff City star Jason Perry, father of Merthyr goalie Joe Perry.

Merthyr Town club Chairman John Strand expressed his joy at confirming the new deal. John was pleased that the sponsorship from Trade Centre has enabled the club board to conslidate the playing budget for next season, and to give club manager Garry Shephard the opportunity to strengthen the team and build on the success of last season.

Trade Centre have a long history of supporting sports clubs in south Wales, and currently sponsors 20 sports clubs in the region, so the first port of call in supporting the local community is the Martyrs.

Over the last decade the business has carved a strong identity in south Wales, probably mostly due to the love him or hate him character Trevor who is the main character across the business’ radio advertising. From now on it will be case of “Tell Em Trevor Sent Ew”….to Merthyr Tydfil and Merthyr Town FC!!!
