Trade Centre Wales sponsors motorsport extravaganza

The UK’s fastest growing car supermarket, Trade Centre Wales, is sponsoring Wales’ first ever three-day motorsport event, Superprix.

The event which includes Formula One demonstrations, stunt driver shows, and post-event entertainment is coming to Parc-Y-Scarlets from 7-9 June 2019.

The perfect partnership

Tim Matthews, Founder of Superprix Promotions Ltd, is an ex-professional racing driver, instructor, and former producer of ‘So You Want to be A Grand Prix Driver’ for Channel 5.

Tim said: “I first thought about bringing an event of this kind to Wales three years ago, but I wanted to take my time to find the right venue and the right sponsorship. Parc Y Scarlets is the ideal location for an event of this size, and we’re really looking forward to developing a strong partnership with Trade Centre Wales.

“We originally got in touch with Trade Centre Wales because we wanted to partner with a successful Welsh business who really understands our audience of car enthusiasts. We also knew we’d benefit from the company’s local relationships and expertise; Trade Centre Wales was the perfect fit!”

The event will see a collection of racing cars and drivers, ranging from Formula 1 to Le Mans cars, from British Touring cars to World Rally cars.

Tim continued: “The sponsorship has been really key to the development of the event, especially as this is the first time Wales will host a Superprix. The money has helped us with promoting the event and will also go towards securing top quality drivers and exciting entertainment. We’re hoping to engage with as many Welsh drivers as we can and so to have support from a Welsh motor business will help us dramatically. We can’t wait to bring the excitement of motorsport to the wider South Wales community.”

A unique community experience

Andy Coulthurst, CEO at Trade Centre Wales, said: “This is the first time Trade Centre Wales has sponsored such a large motorsport event, and we’re excited to be partnering up with a first-of-a-kind event, especially in the car racing world. We’re all looking forward to see the line-up or professional drivers attending in June, and know that this event will be an excellent opportunity for South Wales to come together and enjoy Welsh motorsport at its finest.”
