The volunteer crew at The Mumbles have received a generous donation of £3,000, which will help pay towards the fuel for their all-weather Tamar class lifeboat.

The donation was celebrated on 22 March when Chairman of The Trade Centre Wales, Mark Bailey visited the station to present the cheque and enjoy a VIP guided tour from Coxswain Martin Double.

Jen Abell, RNLI Community Fundraising Manager for South Wales says:

‘The RNLI is extremely grateful for the donation from Trade Centre Wales which will help towards the fuel costs of running The Mumbles RNLI all-weather lifeboat this year. As a charity reliant on voluntary donations, The Mumbles RNLI could not launch without generous donations such as these. It’s great to see such a community minded local organisation doing their bit to save lives from drowning. I hope Trade Centre Wales read about each lifeboat launch with pride in their lifesaving contribution.’
