Trade Centre Wales is continuing to make a meaningful impact beyond the showroom floor through its Community Engagement Programme, reinforcing its commitment to supporting local schools, young people, and grassroots initiatives across South Wales.
As part of this ongoing effort, brand ambassador Mike Doyle recently visited Dŵr y Felin School in Neath, where he spent time with the talented cast of their school production of Shrek: The Musical. The visit highlighted the importance of nurturing creativity and confidence in young people through the performing arts.
Mike had the opportunity to watch the students perform—and was full of praise for what he described as an “absolutely fantastic” production. The energy, talent, and dedication on display clearly left a lasting impression. During the visit, students were also given a fun, hands-on opportunity to step into the spotlight themselves, with some even trying their hand at recording the famous Trade Centre Wales “radio” advert line alongside Mike.
“I agreed to work with the drama department for future productions, including acting and singing lessons, as I thought it was absolutely fantastic and I want to help in any way I can,” Mike said following the visit.
This collaboration marks the beginning of what promises to be a valuable partnership between Trade Centre Wales and the school’s creative departments, helping students develop their skills and gain real-world encouragement from experienced mentors.
The CEP initiative is designed to reach a wide range of interests, and future visits will expand into other areas of school life. Alfie, also an ambassador for Trade Centre Wales, is set to join upcoming sessions, where he’ll be engaging students in discussions around sport, teamwork, and personal development.
Trade Centre Wales founder and director Mark Bailey emphasised the importance of these community connections:
“We’ve always believed that being part of the community means showing up and supporting local people where it matters most. Whether it’s the arts, sports, or education, our CEP programme is about creating opportunities, inspiring confidence, and giving something back. Seeing the talent at Dŵr y Felin was inspiring, and we’re proud to play a small part in supporting their journey.”
Through initiatives like these, Trade Centre Wales continues to demonstrate that its values extend far beyond business—placing people, passion, and community at the heart of everything it does.
