Trade Centre Wales sponsors renowned Ebbw Vale RFC

The fastest growing used car retailer in Wales has announced its latest sponsorship deal with Ebbw Vale RFC, a semi-professional rugby union team playing at the top of the Welsh Premier Division.

Trade Centre Wales, which has showrooms in neighbouring towns, Merthyr Tydfil, Abercynon and Neath, is sponsoring the club £1300 towards new equipment.

The sponsorship money from Trade Centre Wales will go towards improving the training equipment including tackle bags and rucking shields for the junior and the 1^st team. 

A mutually beneficial sponsorship

Darren Venn, business manager at Ebbw Vale RFC, said: “As a club, we rely heavily on company sponsorship to bring in additional funds, and we were over the moon when Trade Centre Wales offered us a year of sponsorship. The company is a great fit for us because the showroom is really local, just down the road from our practice ground.

“For us, the business sponsorship opportunities are mutually beneficial – our teams get better quality equipment and training facilities thanks to the extra funding, and our sponsors get exposure. Our home games were televised last year more than 10 times on S4C and Scrum V, so it was a great way of getting the word out about our team and the local businesses that support us.

“Our aim for next season is to finish high as possible and keep progressing, as it always is! We won the league three seasons ago, and since then we’ve been training hard to reach the top of the league again. With the sponsorship from Trade Centre Wales, we’ll be able to get new equipment to take our training sessions to the next level.

“With the whole community behind us, we are one of the top three supported teams in Wales, and as a team, we love offering the community a chance to celebrate the town’s success. It’s thanks to companies like Trade Centre Wales that we can keep bringing high-quality rugby to the pitch and the screen every season.”
