Thursday 16th April 2026
Trade Centre Wales proudly sponsored the Margam Park 10K on Mother’s Day, supporting a record-breaking event that brought together runners of all abilities in a powerful celebration of community spirit.
A total of 480 participants took part—the highest number the event has ever seen—with entrants ranging from first-time runners to experienced athletes. The event created a vibrant and inclusive atmosphere, with many participants running alongside family members or in support of loved ones, making it a memorable way to mark Mother’s Day.
The day highlighted the strength of community engagement, as crowds gathered to cheer on runners throughout the course. Even in the quieter, more challenging sections, participants continued to motivate and support one another.
Trade Centre Wales brand ambassadors Mike Doyle and Gareth “Alfie” Thomas were in attendance to show their support, with Thomas playing an active role in the event. Reflecting on the experience, he said:
“There was an overwhelming sense of support—not only from the crowd—but even when it got lonely out on the run, especially in the quieter forestry sections. People were really backing each other, keeping us all motivated.”

The sponsorship forms part of Trade Centre Wales’ ongoing commitment to its community engagement programme, supporting initiatives that promote wellbeing, inclusivity, and connection across Wales.
Founder and Director Mark Bailey of Trade Centre Wales praised the success of the event, adding:
“We’re incredibly proud to support events like the Margam Park 10K. Seeing so many people come together—families, friends, and individuals of all abilities—really reflects what community is all about. It’s inspiring to witness that level of support and positivity, and we’re delighted to play a part in making it happen.”
The Margam Park 10K continues to grow in popularity each year, reinforcing its reputation as a key event in the local calendar and a celebration of fitness, resilience, and community.
