Trade Centre Wales Partners with Cefn Cribwr Rugby Club to Support Players of All Ages
Tuesday 15th October 2024As part of its ongoing Community Engagement Programme, Trade Centre Wales is proud to announce its partnership with Cefn Cribwr Rugby Club in Bridgend. This collaboration will provide support for local sports teams, from junior age groups all the way to veteran players. The initiative is designed to nurture young talent and encourage community involvement in grassroots sport.
On the evening of Wednesday, 9th October 2024, Trade Centre Wales’ Brand Ambassadors, rugby legends Mike Doyle and Gareth Thomas, paid a special visit to Cefn Cribwr Rugby Club. The pair were warmly welcomed by players, coaches, and parents alike, as they took to the cold, windy pitch to support the teams during training.
Mike Doyle was thrilled by the enthusiasm of the young players, saying, “We received the most wonderful welcome from Cefn Cribwr, both Gareth Thomas and I. The children looked a first-class team in their brand-new rugby kits and were very excited about us being there. The night was all about training on a cold windy pitch with their coaches and a Hub Officer who came along from the WRU to take a look at some promising players, which was exciting. It’s a pleasure to be the club’s sponsor, and with Gareth keeping a keen eye on them, it’s going to be a great season.”
The evening saw a host of promising young athletes honing their skills under the watchful eyes of experienced coaches and the WRU Hub Officer, who was present to assess future talent.
Mark Bailey, Founder and Owner of Trade Centre Wales, emphasised the importance of supporting local communities: “At Trade Centre Wales, we believe that partnerships like the one with Cefn Cribwr Rugby Club can make a real difference. Supporting sports in the community isn’t just about investing in kits or facilities; it’s about helping build confidence, resilience, and team spirit in young people. We are delighted to be able to help a club that shares our values and our commitment to community engagement.”
This partnership is just one example of Trade Centre Wales’ dedication to making a lasting positive impact on local communities across Wales. With rugby being such an integral part of Welsh culture, this collaboration is set to help inspire the next generation of players, while also strengthening ties between local businesses and sporting organisations. The future certainly looks bright for Cefn Cribwr Rugby Club, and with the ongoing support of Trade Centre Wales, both on and off the field, the team is poised for a fantastic season ahead
