Trade Centre Wales brand ambassador Mike Doyle recently attended an important event at the Senedd to mark Children’s Cancer Awareness Month, supporting the campaign #ChildrenGetCancerToo.

As part of Trade Centre Wales’ ongoing commitment to supporting children’s charities, the company made a generous donation to Josephs Smile, and Mike enjoyed hosting their concert at the Swansea Building Society Arena just last month.

The Senedd event brought together a wide range of supporters, including companies such as Tesco and other charities providing support for young people with cancer including Noah’s Ark, Latch, Morgan’s Army, and the Sir Gareth Edwards Children’s Cancer Charity.

Mike said it was a privilege to meet so many inspirational people:

“It was one of the most humbling experiences of my life. Hearing the stories from families and charities, especially from Emma Rees at Joseph’s Smile, which was all incredibly moving. I was very proud to be there on behalf of Trade Centre Wales—they are massively grateful for the support we give.”

A particularly powerful sight was the display of 188 soft toys outside the Senedd—each one representing a child who has tragically lost their life to cancer.

Guests also saw a moving video from Joseph’s mum, who has invented a special protective vest that allows children with internal lines to play freely and safely.

Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre Wales, added:

“We’re proud to support these incredible charities and the families they help. Their strength, courage, and innovation are truly inspiring, and we’re honoured to play a small part in raising awareness and making a difference.”
