At Trade Centre Wales, giving back to the community is at the heart of what we do. Through our ongoing community engagement programme, we’re proud to support local organisations that make a real difference in people’s lives.

One of this week’s visits saw our ambassadors, Alfie and Mike, spend time at Maggie’s cancer charity based in Swansea. They received a warm welcome, and sat down for a cuppa with Lucia, the charity’s fundraising manager in the relaxing peaceful environment they have created. The visit offered a valuable opportunity to learn more about the incredible support Maggie’s provides to individuals and families affected by cancer. During the visit, Lucia gratefully accepted a donation from Trade Centre Wales, which will contribute towards the continuation of their vital work. She expressed sincere appreciation for the support, highlighting how every contribution helps them reach more people in need.

Alfie described himself as “blown away” by the compassion, care, and impact of the services offered at Maggie’s, reinforcing just how important these community connections are.

Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre Wales, shared his thoughts on the initiative:

“Supporting local charities isn’t just something we do—it’s something we believe in. Organisations like Maggie’s provide essential support to our communities, and we’re proud to play a small part in helping them continue their incredible work. It’s important for businesses like ours to give back and stand alongside those making a real difference.”

Mark also highlighted the importance of community fundraising efforts, adding:

“It’s fantastic to see initiatives like Dip a Day in May now underway. We’d love to hear from anyone taking part—whether you’re braving the cold water daily or supporting in other ways—to help raise funds for Maggie’s. Every effort really does make a difference.”

We look forward to continuing our community visits and supporting more inspiring organisations across the region.
