Supporting Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week
Friday 13th February 2026
To mark Children’s Mental Health Awareness Week, Trade Centre Wales’ Community Engagement Programme is proudly showing its support throughout the week by highlighting the importance of children’s mental health and wellbeing, reinforcing the message that looking after our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies.
Trade Centre Wales ambassadors Mike Doyle and Gareth Alfie Thomas have been in talks with Action for Children about their Bounce Back programme and, on Thursday, will be visiting Ysgol Hen Felin in Rhondda. During the visit, they will offer practical tips to help children keep their minds healthy, reinforcing the message that wellbeing is not just about our bodies, but our mental health too.
Speaking about the initiative, Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre Wales, said:
“Supporting our local communities has always been at the heart of what we do at Trade Centre Wales. Children’s mental health is incredibly important, and by working with organisations like Action for Children and engaging directly with schools such as Ysgol Hen Felin, we hope to help spark positive conversations and give young people simple tools to support their wellbeing.”
