Trade Centre Wales has officially launched a new community partnership with Machen Cricket Club, confirming a two‑season deal as the club’s exclusive kit sponsor. Brand ambassadors Mike Doyle and Gareth Alfie Thomas visited the Welfare Ground in Caerphilly to celebrate the announcement and meet club representatives.

During the visit, Mike Doyle met with club chairman Dai Knox and junior cricket co‑ordinator and secretary Jonathon Cross to finalise the sponsorship agreement – a partnership set to support both senior and junior cricket across Machen.

Machen Cricket Club, home to 60 adult players and 40 junior members, welcomed the sponsorship, noting that the deal will help keep kit costs low for players of all ages. The club continues to play a central role in the local community, supporting men’s and women’s cricket and embracing the area’s diverse population.

Cricket’s unique ability to bring people together, with matches often lasting a full day, reinforces the club’s importance as a social hub where families and friends gather for shared experiences.

Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre Wales, highlighted the company’s commitment to grassroots sport:

“Community is everything to us. Clubs like Machen Cricket Club are the backbone of local areas. They bring families together, support young people and create lifelong friendships. We’re proud to sponsor Machen for the next two seasons, supporting the diverse community of Machen reflects exactly what we stand for – bringing people together and backing grassroots sport.”

This new partnership strengthens Trade Centre Wales’ ongoing mission to invest in local organisations and champion community‑driven sport across Wales.
