Strengthening Community with Cefn Cribwr RFC

As part of the Trade Centre Wales ongoing community engagement programme, Ambassador Mike Doyle recently visited Cefn Cribwr RFC, a local club that Trade Centre have previously supported and is now proud to engage with once again.

The club is a valued hub within the community, serving not only its members but also hosting a range of activities for local groups. One such user is South Wales Police for various community initiatives, highlighting its importance as a shared local facility.

During the visit, Mike Doyle marked both St Patrick’s Day and the renewed sponsorship by raising a glass of Guinness alongside club chairman Steve Powell, celebrating the partnership between Trade Centre Wales Cefn Cribwr.

Trade Centre Wales is proud to sponsor the Mini’s, Juniors, and Youth teams, helping ensure that young players have the resources they need to enjoy and develop in the sport. Speaking during the visit, Mike joined the players for a large team photograph and praised the spirit of the club.

“This is a tough time for many families and not everyone can afford to buy the kits,” Mike said. “The team are all so very grateful for the support.”

He also shared the excitement around a familiar face returning to the club. “They’re so excited that Alfie will be coming back to give masterclasses and help with their development within the game.”

Mark Bailey, Founder and Director of Trade Centre Wales also highlighted the importance of supporting grassroots organisations through the company’s community engagement work.

“Community clubs like Cefn Cribwr RFC are at the heart of local life. Through our community engagement programme, we want to support organisations that bring people together, give young people opportunities in sport, and provide spaces that benefit the whole community. We’re proud to continue our relationship with the club and support the next generation of players.”

Trade Centre Wales looks forward to continuing its partnership with Cefn Cribwr RFC and supporting the club’s Minis, Juniors and Youth teams as they grow and develop both on and off the pitch.
